Inlet Anesthesia Consultants (IAC) is a private medical practice consisting of anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists. Anesthesiologists are medical doctors (MDs) who have completed three or more years of specialized training after graduating from medical school. Certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) are registered nurses who have graduated from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia. IAC utilizes a care team approach in which an anesthesiologist medically directs the CRNAs. IAC believes the care team approach is the safest way to take care of our patients because there are at least two providers involved in each patient’s care. Having two providers gives an extra set of hands throughout all critical moments of the patient’s care. Both the anesthesiologist and the nurse anesthetist are intimately involved throughout the full continuum of patient care. Depending on your insurance, because there are two providers, you may receive two statements when you are billed. You are not being double-billed – the total payment we receive for each bill is half of what we would receive if only one claim had been filed for your service. We look forward to serving you.
